Overview & Reviews
For 2004, the Grand Cherokee gets a factory-installed DVD navigation system integrated into the radio. Columbia, Freedom and Special Edition trims are also new for 2004. All of these models incorporate subtle cosmetic touches and equipment upgrades. Additionally, each Columbia Edition Jeep comes with a complimentary Columbia parka.
- Powerful 4.7-liter V8, all-terrain capability, roomy comfort for four.
- Noisy and unrefined, questionable reliability, trucklike on-road handling.

2004 Jeep grand cherokee - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By kpj - June 16 - 2:00 amI feel safe and protected in this SUV. It has an air leak sound when the heating sysem is in use, which is irritating and aparently normal. The mileage is bad...16 to 17 mpg. The grand cherokee is not as sporty looking as the limited. I recommend the Enumclaw delarship. The side to side motion does not feel as stable as the 2000 which I owned previously.

cool looks, but noisy! - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Jeep Mama - June 12 - 1:16 pmI love my Jeep Grand Cherokee. it is reliable and comfortable with great looks. I only have a problem with the build quality. The Jeep is only three years old, and the brakes squeal quite a bit. Also, the seals around the second row windows are already coming loose (even though I always park in the garage) resulting in a whistling noise on the highway.

jeep Grand Cherokee limited - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By steve graham - June 11 - 10:00 amThis is my 3rd Jeep. 1995, 1999, 2004. I have never had a problem with any. The 2004 has surpassed all others before. I feel that it has a smooth ride, similar to a car but firmer, as it should be. I have a cadillac also, but seem to prefer the jeep more and more.

Best Jeep Yet - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By bwteeter - May 10 - 10:00 amJust traded in my 00 Grand Cherokee Laredo for the 04 Overland. Its hard to find another SUV that combines all the features and extras of the Overland for such a good price. The engine is strong although quite thristy...what do you expect from a V8? The seats are much improved from my old Laredo. The off-road performance is great. Already used the new quadra-drive system to pull my buddies explorer out of the mud!

Huge Number of Features - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Lakeway, TX - April 8 - 2:00 amThis is my first Jeep product, it was a replacement for a 2000 Toyota Landcruiser. They pack a large number of features in for a reasonable price and the dealers are happy to make deals. My dealer went to Houston to get the one I wanted. Big selling features for me were memory seats and adjustable pedals since two of us drive (LandCruiser didnt have these things for $20k more!) Acceleration and power are excellent and much better than my LandCruiser. Gas mileage is what youd expect (bad). Defects at delivery were minimal and fixed easily at the showroom. No problems of any kind since delivery. It just runs.

2004 jeep G. C. limited v8 - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By tarhead - April 3 - 10:00 amI have been a ford driver for years and have loved the space and versitility of an SUV but hated the poor break system and "truck" like feel when driving my explorer. I recently purchased a Jeep grand cherockee with the encouragement of many jeep owners and absolutely LOVE my new jeep. The power of the v8 is impressive, the towing capacity of excellent and the interrior design is a A+. The navigational system is easy to use and quite effiecent when driving. The jeep is an extremely smooth ride and takes bumps and corners with ease. I would recommend the 2004 Jeep grand cherokee v8 over Ford explorer any day! You will be thrilled with your choice of a Jeep!

By GaryF - March 23 - 2:00 amIm 63 yrs. old and this was the most pleasurable buying experience I ever had. I purchased my Overland at Jim Marsh Crysler in Las vegas.
